1938: Benny Goodman refuses to play Carnegie Hall when members of his band who are black are barred from performing.
1941: Larry Shreeve, AKA Abdullah The Butcher, is born.
1980: Tony Benetto (future Gran Markus Jr) wins The Mexico Heavyweight title from El Halcon.
